Another “What I Really Do Meme” For Paramedics

January 8, 2016 by Dave Konig

I have a lot of image files saved to my Dropbox. While I’m nowhere near maxing out my limit for the service, it’s become an issue on my Macbook Air. So the other night I was cleaning out my folder of blurry cat photos (a lot), gas prices (too many), and of course my never-ending food p0rn (WAY more than necessary) photos when I came across this Paramedics: What I Really Do Meme:

What I Really Do Meme For EMS

February 17, 2012 by Dave Konig

The newest meme craze is upon us with a vengeance and (as with most things) there is definitely something to learn. Here are two of what I think are the best “What I Really Do” memes for EMS and hopefully you’ll understand what I mean before getting to the end of the post:

how_EMTs_are_seen

I’m sure my mom thinks that’s exactly what I do. Here’s another one I like because of the Trauma reference which we obviously know is true:

what i think i do ems 2

So what does this meme teach?

The lesson it teaches is that how we are viewed is a matter of perspective.

How can we change someone’s perspective?

We can change perspective through the knowledge they can gain when we tell our own stories.

That is all.

Go forth and spread the word.

Don’t Get Caught Rollin’ Dirty

December 8, 2010 by Dave Konig

We often think it can be pretty hard to be in a vehicle all day rolling around your area. There are others who wouldn’t see it as that, and while perhaps we would laugh at their attempts to achieve what we take for granted, there is absolutely no excuse to get caught rollin’ dirty…

So make sure ya’ll have clean underwear when you leave the house.

The Disclaimer

This is a weblog, most commonly referred to as a "blog". The opinions and thoughts expressed here represent my own and are NOT those of my employer, any associations, or any volunteer organizations I am a member of.

In addition, my thoughts and opinions will change from time to time. While some may see this as detrimental and may at times appear hypocritical, it is a necessity to maintain an open minded mentality which is in my (current) opinion more important than defending out dated thoughts and opinions with voracity. Change is not automatically a bad thing, but quite contrary a necessity in the grand scheme of evolution as individuals, organizations, professions, and society as a whole.

Stories on this weblog concerning patients is HIPAA compliant. Those stories have been changed dramatically to remove patient identifiers including name, sex, geographical locations, date, time, and sex. Any similarities to real patients, living or deceased, is purely a coincidence.

The Last Jedi is #1 in The Biggest 2nd Weekend Drops in Hollywood History

Last week I made a prediction based on my disappointment walking out of The Last Jedi. Contrary to the corporate shills peddling that The Last Jedi would be considered a fantastically amazing Star Wars movie, I believed the movie disappointed more than it thrilled and would see at least a 60% decrease in the box […]
