I remember a time when bloggers would mark these “milestones” of their blog with epic posts… something neither others or myself rarely do. Still, hitting 400 posts kind of impressed me… mainly because I found it so surprising that was how many posts were here. I think it’s enough that I deserve a bit of cake…
My first post happened on August 24th, 2010 and was aptly titled Let’s Get The Party Started. It was/is a typical intro post, nothing too crazy. What I didn’t do, thankfully, was commit to a blog niche’. Let’s be honest, I always intended to blog about both Blogging and Social Media for EMS here… which I’ve done. Heck, I even wrote an ebook about Blogging for EMS that had been published entirely on this blog.
I’ve also hit some other topics… like When Oxygen Tanks Explode, my copious commentary on FDNY, and of course my pontifications on EMS culture. In-between all this blogging I even wrote a few books, including You Called 9-1-1 For This? (You Called 9-1-1 For… Book 2) that gets released this week.
My lack of theme commitment made it a bit easier for all the OTHER blog posts I wrote, specifically whenever something crossed my screen that I deemed newsworthy enough and wanted to comment on. It’s also going to make 2016 a bit easier as I branch out a little bit more into different aspects of EMS that I have found myself immersed in, especially over the last few years.
It’ll be interesting and, as always, it’ll all be fun and games until someone gets hurt… then it’s a job.
Thanks for reading!
