#EMSWorldExpo: Using Social Media To Market Your EMS Agency

Thursday afternoon Greg Friese presented on a topic that is near and dear to my own heart, Using Social Media To Market Your EMS Agency.

One of the most interesting points made, in my opinion, was regarding the tone of the words we use when talking about Social Media and crafting Social Media policies. The overuse of negative tones in our policies enhance the temptation of Social Media as opposed to providing responders with education and solid guidelines regarding responsible Social Media Creation.

In today’s climate it is important that agencies learn to leverage Social Media to market to their citizens and policy-makers as well as both prospective and current responders. Social Media is both effective and cost efficient when utilized correctly. Unfortunately, many agencies continue to see it as a naturally nefarious tool for evil, which Greg disproved during his presentation.

Did you miss the presentation? Greg has been nice enough to share his slides…
